My body swayed forward as if being pulled by his. My eyes opened as I touched my lips, my heart beating rapidly.
“I’m sorry,” he growled and I looked up at him to find him frowning, a deep crease between his brows. “I shouldn’t have done that, we can’t do that again.”
I shook my head, my thoughts still a bit foggy. Our kiss had been brief but God had it felt amazing. “It’s okay, you didn’t do anything wrong.”
He ran his hands down his face as he exhaled through his mouth and I could see him straining to stay in control. He moved so swiftly, pinning me to my locker as his lips found mine again, his hands sinking into my hair. He pulled away again, his breathing labored as he stared down at me, his eyes darting back and forth.
My body felt electrified and the last thing I wanted was for him to stop. He backed away, his jaws clenched tightly and I watched as he turned and left. Despite wanting to tell him not to leave, I couldn’t. I couldn’t speak or move, my body rooted where I stood.
I sank to the floor, my finger buried in my hair.
I’d just kissed my father’s best friend.
