“So…we have a date tomorrow?” Eldred hated the way his heart hammered.
“Wouldn’t miss it for the world.” Mo moved closer. Eldred tilted his head and held his breath.
A chair scraped against the floor. “Aaand that’s my cue to leave.” Lachtin put his cup in the sink, and Mo stepped away again. Fucking Lachtin.
“Wait, I’ll give you a ride.” Mo grabbed his car keys then he bent down and kissed Eldred’s forehead. “Are you staying?”
Eldred nodded.
“Good. I’m not sure I’m ever letting you go.” Mo grinned. “See you in a few minutes.”
He watched Mo and Lachtin leave and filled his lungs with air.
Mo wanted him to stay.
